Abstract
This Act establishes the Veterinary Board and the Veterinary Appeal Tribunal, and provides for the registration of veterinary surgeons and the control of their practice.
The Board shall, among other things, register veterinary surgeons and enroll animal health assistants and ensure the maintenance of acceptable standards of professional conduct by registered veterinary surgeons or enrolled animal health assistants. Appeal against decisions of the Board regarding registration or enrolment may be had with the Veterinary Appeal Tribunal. The Act also defines regulation-making powers of the Minister and offences.
