Water Compact 2030.

This Water Compact describes the government's commitment to strengthen water security, ensure universal access to potable water and improved sanitation, and enhance resilience to climate change. Following the strategic objectives of the 2019 National Water Sector Policy (2019 Water Policy) and the Vision 2030 Jamaica – National Development Plan (Vision 2030), this Water Compact specifies targets for water sectors, including: water resources management, integrated management, universal access and demand management, supporting irrigation services and other agricultural water uses, infrastructure and monitoring enhancements, water quality analysis, watershed protection. This Water Compact also establishes objectives for infrastructure development, with prioritisation of investments in: energy efficiency improvement, expansion of sewerage coverage, rural water master plan.
