Abstract
This Agreement provides a framework for cooperation between the Parties in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy on the basis of mutual benefit and reciprocity. The Parties shall cooperate on the basis of equality and mutual benefit in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, in addition to applicable laws and regulations in both countries, and in accordance with international obligations and commitments of both parties.Cooperation includes the following: (a) the supply of nuclear material, non nuclear material and equipment; (b) transfer of technology and equipment; (c) Prevention of emergencies resulting from nuclear or radiological incidents and response, (d) the procurement of equipment and devices; (e) access to and use of equipment and facilities; (f) management of spent fuel and radioactive waste; (g) nuclear safety and radiation protection; (i) use of radioisotopes and radiation in agriculture; (j), development, production, further processing and use of uranium resources.
