Animal welfare Regulation No. 11 of 2010

This Regulation provides for the animal welfare system Jordan is adopting. It mentions some definitions of important terms and states that the Ministry in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities will work on ensuring animal welfare and the prevention of cruelty in accordance with the Islamic Shariaa. Article 4 states the acts which are considered acts of animal cruelty. An advisory committee will be established by the Ministry and it will undertake duties including plan propositions and programs related to cruelty prevention. The committee will also organize the import and export of animals.
