Environmental Control and Inspection System No.65 of 2009.

This Regulation consisting of 15 articles provides for the controls over the facilities to check their compliance with the provisions of law, regulations and instructions to prevent environmental pollution; and the environmental inspection procedures. The environmental inspections can be: periodic or subsequent or unexpected, and the Regulation explains and rules the differences between them and the procedures to be met by the inspectors.
The inspector shall edit a report including: 1.description of the nature of the offense; 2. the actions required to be taken to correct the environmental abuses; and 3. setting a date for a subsequent environmental inspection. Article 8 states that if an environmental audit is needed, the environmental inspector shall deliver to the facility owner an advisory list of necessary actions and determine the necessary amount of time to end this audit at the expense of the owner of the facility who shall provide the Directorate with a copy of the environmental audit within the time period specified for it. In article 12 are listed the compliances by the owner of the facility.
