The Strategic Plan for the years 2023 - 2025 provides a clear and accurate reference that works to guide the institution at all levels and in a way that ensures the exploitation of available resources with the highest efficiency and effectiveness. The final target is ensuring the safety and quality of food, the efficacy and safety of medicine, and the efficiency of medical devices and supplies by implementing the latest global practices and initiatives, fostering national economic competitiveness and partnerships, and enhancing public awareness of proper food and medicine handling.
The Plan defines core pillars aligned with strategic objectives (i) Ensuring Safe and Effective Products aligns with the strategic goal of safeguarding food, medicine, and related materials. This requires enhancing import, distribution, and availability while ensuring safety through risk assessment, strengthened inspections, quality certification programs, institutional trust-building, and optimized research capabilities to support informed regulatory and legislative decision-making; (ii) Achieving Operational Excellence aligns with the strategic goal of enhancing efficiency and institutional performance. This involves attaining global recognition by aligning with international health organizations, fostering collaboration, optimizing resources, improving laboratory quality, advancing digital transformation, ensuring employee well-being, managing risks, strengthening cybersecurity, promoting change and innovation, and upholding corporate governance, integrity, and transparency; (iii) Improving the Legislative Framework focuses on updating regulations governing the institution’s operations to ensure effectiveness and alignment with best practices; (iv) Advancing Investment and Trade involves streamlining trade facilitation and investment promotion procedures, removing barriers to the flow of food, medicine, and related materials, enhancing the quality and competitiveness of Jordanian products in local and global markets, and improving services to create a more attractive investment environment.
