Instruction of 2003 on the management and handling of hazardous waste.

This Instruction aims at the protection of the environment - includinf waters - and public health. This Instruction is composed of 11 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 specifies the scope of this Instruction. Articles 4-7 deal with the following matters: (a) producers of hazardous waste; (b) gathering and storage of hazardous waste; (c) emergency plans; (d) registers and reports; (e) transporters of hazardous waste; (f) precaution measures for packing hazardous waste; (g) management of empty packages; and (h) storage and treatment of hazardous waste. Articles 8 and 9 contain general provisions. Article 10 deals with offences and penalties.
