Instructions No. G/4 of 2022 - Instructions for registration, import, circulation and trade in pesticides and biological enemies / issued under Clause 1 of Paragraph (d) of Article 21 and Clause No.2 of Paragraph (a) of Article 22 of Agriculture Law No.13 of 2015 and its amendments

These guidelines, encompassing 19 articles and IV Annexes, address various categories of pesticides. Article 4 introduces the establishment of a Committee known as the "Committee for Registering Pesticides and Bio-Enemies," referring to organisms used for pest control that either kill, compete with, or combat pests and are commercially employed for this purpose. Meanwhile, Article 7 specifies that the registration, importation, distribution, and trading of pesticides and biological enemies are permissible exclusively for licensed agricultural institutions and companies. Article 8 sets forth a fundamental principle prohibiting the registration of microbial biopesticides containing more than one active ingredient. Additionally, it permits the registration of pesticides and biological enemies in countries with advanced registration systems, such as the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and the United States of America. Article 9 provides a list of exceptions to the registration requirements.
Chapter III focuses on the registration of microbial biocides, encompassing details about packaging specifications and label information. Chapter IV addresses matters related to the registration of biochemical pesticides. Chapter V is dedicated to the importation, handling, and trading of biopesticides. Lastly, Chapter VI delves into the registration of vital enemies, including guidelines for transportation and the release process.
