Abstract
This Law is consists of 5 Chapters divided into 106 articles: Medicine (I); Pharmacy (II); Drug materials and mental effects (III); Offences and penalties (IV); General provisions (V). Terms and definitions are given in articles 1 and 2. Article 3 sets out requirements and conditions for the trade of medicines, vaccinations, serums, nursing milk, food integrators, medicinal plants, organic products, sterilizers, disinfectors, vitamins, cosmetic products, etc. Articles 4 and 5 provide for the establishment of the High Committee for Medicines and Pharmacy with the objective to lay down bases and criteria to obtain medicine security, medicine consumption guidance, registration of medicines, licence for the trade of medical plants, price-fixing of medicines, inspection, monitoring the collateral effects, etc. Articles 9 and 11 establish the Technical Committee for Medicine Registration, and the Medicine Price-Fixing Committee. Articles 19-73 deal with the following matters: practicing of the profession; licences and requirements; medicine industries; medicine deposits; public pharmacies; private pharmacies; inspection on the pharmacies.
