Law No. 82 of 2002 on the registration system of new plant varieties.

This Law provides for the registration system of new plant varieties. The provisions of this Law are applied on plant species identified in the Appendix attached to this Law . The Law provides for all administrative proceedings of the registration process and all the documents needed for it. Some of the requirements of registration include an accurate description of the selection process stages and the characteristics of the specific variety, as well as providing samples.
