Abstract
The provisions of this Bylaw, consisting of 25 articles, shall be applicable to a manufactured or non-manufactured organic agricultural product, described on the label card, advertising materials, or commercial documents showing that it is an organic, biological, or ecological product subjected to the standard metrology. The Bylaw deals with: organic plant production (art. 4); raw materials (art.5); preparation and storage (art.6); GMOs (art.7); operator duties (art.8); procedures for obtaining the organic agricultural production certificate (art. 9); import of organic products (art. 10); establishment, duties and powers of the National Committee of Organic Agriculture (art. 12); rules for the transitional period to which organic farming is subject (art. 14); distinction between annuals crops and permanent crops (art. 16); soil fertility and its biological activity (art. 17); adoption of preventive and curative measures to control pests without using chemical compounds (art. 19); conditions to consider wild plants in forests and agricultural areas as an organic product (art.20).

This bylaw has been issued pursuant to Articles 7 and 71 of Agriculture Law No.13 of 2015 and cancels Organic Agriculture regulation No.29 of 2011.
