Regulation No. 66 of 2009 about the Environmental Protection Fund System .

This Regulation sets forth a fund system of Environmental Protection. Article 2 provides some definitions. Article 3 states the goals, powers, and functions of this fund which include supporting activities contributing to the protection of the environment and its preservation, modernizing the installations and facilities and the application of advanced technological solutions and developing its environmental practices. The fund will work on encouraging development initiatives aimed at an optimal use of elements of the environment which would contribute to the achievement of sustainable development. The Regulation states that the fund will also serve to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences with local and regional organizations in support of environmental protection.
