Act on Facilitating the Export of Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Products and Food（Act No. 57 of 2019）.

This Act is enacted in order to facilitate the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food that are produced in Japan and to contribute to sustainable development in the agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food industries.
The Headquarters for the Export of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Products and Food shall be established as a special body under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. It is responsible for: (i)those concerned with the planning, development, and advancement of basic policies for facilitating the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food; (ii)those concerned with the coordination of functions among the administrative ministries concerned in the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food. The national government shall be responsible for advancing measures for facilitating the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food in a comprehensive and integrated manner. In addition, the Act makes provisions, inter alia, for: the formulation of a basic policy and action plan for facilitating the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food, and implementing measures such as the issuance, etc. of export certificates and the certification of export project plans, registered certifying body, offends and penalties, etc.
