Abstract
This Act promotes measures on energy supply and demand on a long term basis, and clarifies the responsibilities of the State and local public entities with respect to these measures in order to contribute to the preservation of the environment.
Aims of these measures shall include the prevention of global warming and the preservation of the local environment by promoting the conversion to non-fossil-fuel use, such as solar and wind power, and the efficient use of fossil fuels. The Act further provides for the formulation of a Basic Energy Plan to be proposed by the Government.
