Abstract
These Rules, in order to regulate the rational use of farmland, impose restrictions on the cultivation by employees of farms for own use. No employee may cultivate for his or her own use any land of large-scale farms, in excess of one-half of one acre, nor may any occupier of any farm permit such cultivation, unless the employee possesses a valid cultivation licence issued by the occupier in the form set out in the First Schedule. The Rules also grant power to a district agricultural committee to prevent excessive cultivation and impose restrictions on the keeping of livestock by employees of large-scale farms.
