Appointment of the Lake Naivasha Management Committee (G.N. No. 7704 of 2004).

With this Notice the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources notifies the appointment of the Lake Naivasha Management Committee for the purpose of implementation of the Lake Naivasha Management Plan. The plan is a community-based initiative and has been developed to ensure that adverse impacts on the lake ecosystem are minimized and corrected while addressing identified conservation issues for which there is a large degree of consensus.
The Notice specifies the composition of the Committee and sets out the terms of reference for the work of the Committee. In addition, the Notice defines some further tasks of the Committee and provides with respect to the Secretariat of the Committee.
