Abstract
This Act provides for the protection of coconut plantations against theft and loitering and provides for the licensing of dealers in coconuts.
The offences of stealing of coconuts on plantations and loitering or lurking on coconut plantations and appropriate measures of enforcement are defined and penalties for these offences are prescribed. No person shall buy and sell or otherwise deal in coconuts or the produce thereof unless he or she is licensed to do so by the District Commissioner and such licence shall be valid for one place of business only.
