County Governments (Amendment)(No. 2) Act, 2016 (No. 17 of 2016).

This Act amends the County Governments Act by adding a new section (7A), which concerns the duly constitution of county assemblies after election. A county assembly shall not be be duly constituted at first sitting. fully and duly constituted for the first sitting after a general election unless all the members provided for under paragraphs (b) and (c) of Article 177(1) of the Constitution have been duly nominated and their names published in the Gazette.
