Abstract
These Rules set out standards for the production of seed potatoes and of potatoes used for consumption purposes only (“ware potatoes”), for the storage of seed and ware potatoes, for grading and packaging, for transportation of potatoes and for processing of potatoes and (frozen) chips. They also provide that inspectors may use certain powers of inspection, search, seizure, detention, etc. and prescribe offences and penalties. The Schedules contain more standards and prescribe characteristics and potatoes. (16 rules completed by 9 Schedules)
