Embu County Public Participation Act, no. 9 of 2015.

This Act provides for strengthening and enhancing public participation in the County Government, through the implementation of several constitutional provisions, including those on access to information and public finance; through community empowerment and transparency measures; promotion of partnership and collaboration in public processes; enhancement of public awareness and understanding of government processes. The Act concerns: establishment, composition and functions of the Embu County Committee for public participation; coordination of public participation in the County assembly; citizens' participation forum; petition to the County Government and the County Committee; financial provisions.
