Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 110 of the Energy Act, 2006, provide with respect to an energy management policy and energy management and saving issues, such as energy audits. An owner or occupier of designated facilities shall within six months from the end of the financial year in which an energy audit is undertaken, prepare and submit to the Energy Regulatory Commission an energy investment plan for the next three years, setting out proposals for the conservation of energy during that period. Relevant components of an energy investment plan may be included into a project to be registered under the clean development mechanisms or any other carbon finance mechanism which may be in place from time to time. The Regulations also provide for the licensing of energy auditors.
