Energy (Solar Water Heating) Regulations, Legal Notice no. 115 of 2025.

These Regulations, made under provisions of sections 93 and 208 of the Energy Act, provide for promoting the use of solar water heating systems by enforcing standards in the solar water heating value chain. Therefore, the Regulations apply to: manufacturers, importers, vendors, contractors and workers of solar water heating systems; and developers, promoters, owners, architects, engineers and contractors engaged in the design or construction of premises. The Regulations concern: licensing solar water heating system worker; classification of licenses; licensing of manufacturers, importers, vendors, and contractors; general provisions concerning licences; design, installation, testing, repair and maintenance of solar water heating system; data management; inspection, penalties and offences.
