Abstract
A basic Act relating to the management and conservation of fish resources in Kenya. The Minister may make regulations for the purpose of reorganizing, developing and regulating the fish industry (art. 3) and may establish one or more advisory councils (art. 4). The Minister may prepare a financial assistance scheme for loans to fishermen with the scope of promoting modern fishing methods (art. 5). Other regulation making powers of the Minister with respect to fishing are specified in article 7 and 8. Articles 9 to 11 and 13 deal with offences, and article 12 with powers of enforcement of authorized officers. (15 articles)
