Fisheries Management (Fish Levy Trust Fund) Order, Legal Notice no. 123 of 2024.

This Order, made under section 28 (2)(a) of the Fisheries Management and Development Act, provides for: promoting fisheries management and conservation; managing resources for grants, fisheries awards, capacity building and dissemination; improving financial resources for urgent mitigation due to climate change and natural disasters that may affect the livelihoods of fishers; promoting public awareness on fisheries conservation and management. The Order covers the following matters: administration and expenditures of the fund; functions of the Board of Trustees; fund disbursement; registration of applicant accessing funds, including: artisanal fishers, fishing gear maker or repairer, fish trader, fish transporter; procedure for accessing conditional grants.
