Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Delegation of Power), 2019 (L.N. No. 106 of 2019).

This Notice, made by the Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning under section 38 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, delegates to the: Director-Land Administration; Deputy Director-Land Administration; Senior Assistant Director-Land Administration; Assistant Director-Land Administration; Principal Land Administration Officer; and Chief Land Administration Officer, the power to issue leases or licences conferred on the Cabinet Secretary by section 23(2) of the Land Act (No. 6 of 2012). Section 23 prescribes that a grant of public land shall be made in the name of the Commission on behalf of the national or county government as the case may be.
