Abstract
The Act provides for the creation of the Kenya Ports Authority which may administer ports and establish and operate port services. The Act also provides for acquisition of land for the purposes of the Authority. The Minister may make, subject to other legislation, Regulations for the registration, licensing, inspection and control of fishing boats.

An Act of Parliament to provide for the establishment of an Authority to be known as the Kenya Ports Authority, for the transfer to the Authority of the undertakings, within Kenya, of the East African Harbours Corporation, for the functions of the Authority and for purposes connected therewith.
