Kenya Tea Development Authority (Tea Cultivation) Order.

This Order lays down rules for the cultivation of tea and provides for the control of the growing of tea and tea planting material. No person shall establish, operate or extend a tea seed garden or nursery in any area unless in possession of a permit. The establishment or operation of a tea plantation requires a licence to be issued by the Kenya Tea Development Authority in the form as set out in the Schedule to this Order. Also enlargement of a tea plantation requires a licence. Every grower shall, in respect of each smallholding under his or her control, comply with the cultivation requirements set out by this Order.
