Kericho County Regularisation of Unauthorised Developments Act, no. 11 of 2021.

The Act concerns development projects and programmes and their regularisation, including transactions relating to public land, allocation of land, confirmation and extension of lease, renewal of lease, change of user, extension of user, subdivision of land, amalgamation of land. The Act provides for regularising unauthorised development projects made on any public land, or lands reserved for public purposes or on any conservation area. Matters covered by this Act include: regularisation process; regularisation period and report to the County Assembly; projects and developments excluded from regularisation, involving: forest land or river banks and riparian areas, land reserved for parks, access roads, play grounds, open places, water courses and water bodies; payment of regularisation fees; liability; establishment of the Regularisation Technical Committee; offences and penalties.
