Abstract
The Act aims to prevent, control and reduce air pollution and ensure clean and healthy ambient air, noise pollution and ensure a clean and healthy environment. The Act is to apply concurrently with the Environmental Management and Coordination Act, 1999 and other written laws. The Act charges the County department on environmental matters with the duty of administering and implementing the Act.
