Laikipia County Community Engagement and Resilience Act, 2022

This Act, implementing constitutional provisions, provides for: establishing a county engagement forum and community led processes that ensure services for the most vulnerable individuals, in order to reduce radicalisation and recruitment to violent extremism; coordination of County Engagement and Resilience services and activities within the County Executive Departments; encouraging patriotism and a shared sense of pride and responsibility amongst the residents of Laikipia County. The Act covers the following matters: powers and duties of the County Community Engagement Forum; participation of key stakeholders; cooperation with the national government; integration of national government policy in County Development plans.
