Abstract
This Order of the Water Resources Management Authority declares the Lake Naivasha Groundwater Conservation Area to be a groundwater conservation area for the purposes of the Water Act and provides rules for the abstraction of groundwater in that area. The Order requires borehole owners, among other things, to ensure that a wellhead protection area is protected from land use activities not associated with the water supply from the borehole, to submit monthly records of water abstracted to the respective regional offices of the Authority, and to properly mantain boreholes in accordance with this Order.
