Land Registration (Electronic Transactions) Regulations, 2020 (L.N. No. 130 of 2020).

These Regulations are made to give effect to the Land Registration Act. The Chief Land Registrar is to maintain an electronic land registry containing the community land register and other specified features. The Regulations provide that the Registrar may issue notices, certificates, certify forms, or transmit documents electronically. The Regulation further provides that persons who intend to carry out transactions shall sign up with the system; this allows access to the system and to carry out transactions to the extent allowed in the Act. The Regulations provide for the terms and conditions for the use of the electronic land registry.
