The Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilisation (Amendment) Act, no. 1 of 2022.

This Act, consisting of 25 articles, amends the Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilisation Act, no. 1 of 2015. The amendments concern: insertion of following new definitions, including: authorised officer, transportation, vehicle owner; measures for persons with disabilities and women; measures for representatives of non-state actors; measures concerning the fund of the authority; submission to the Auditor General the accounts of the Authority; measures concerning water resources users associations and their functions; regulations for the construction of sand dams and any other conservation activities; fines and criminal provisions; development of a management Plan; extraction, transport and scoop of sand; harvesting and trading of sand.
