Mandera County Abattoirs Act, no. 12 of 2014.

This Act provides for the establishment and control of county abattoirs, and focuses on the following matters: approved abattoir; appointment of meat inspector; veterinary officer; requirements for registration of abattoir, including sanitary and hygienic standards; certificate of approval; registration and licensing of meat export processing establishments; illegal manufacturing and processing of meat; requirements of abattoirs, including water supply, equipment of abattoirs, separate rooms, steriliser; measure for treatment of cattle before slaughter; inspection of animals before slaughtering and inspection of meat; general penalty and offences.
