The Manguo Swamp Groundwater Area Order, Legal Notice no. 221 of 2022.

This Order, made by the Water resources Authority in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 23 of the Water Act, no. 43 of 2016, provides for declaring The Manguo swamp groundwater area, as a groundwater conservation area and therefore apply to the National Government, national government entities, County Governments, county government entities and any other person being a user of water resources and the riparian reserve of the declared conservation area. The Order defines: water resources users association registered by the Authority; the boundaries of the conservation area; the management and conservation plan developed by the Authority in respect of the conservation area; the riparian reserve, as the land where the Authority impose obligations to owners and users, due to its proximity to the groundwater conservation area; soil and water conservation plan; the basin and sub-basin area; offences and penalties.
