Marsabit County Tourism Act, 2016 (No. 8 of 2016).

This Act concerns the development of tourism in Marsabit county. It provides for the formulation of a county tourism strategy by the Executive Committee Member and the establishment of the establishment of Tourism Regulatory and Licensing Unit. One of the objects of the Act is to promote the practice of responsible and sustainable tourism (defined). The Executive Committee Member may by notice in the County Gazette designate tourism Areas in consultation with the Cabinet Secretary responsible for Tourism at the National level. The Act also provides for public participation in making decisions under the Act.
