The Marura (Ewaso Narok) Swamp Catchment Protection Area Order, Legal Notice no. 107 of 2023.

This Order, made by the Water Resources Authority under section 22(1) of the Water Act, 2016, provides for declaring a protected area within the Marura (Ewaso Narok) Swamp Catchment Area. The Order applies to the National Government, national government entities, county governments, county government entities and any other person being a user of water resources and the riparian reserve of the protected area. The Order concerns: water resources users association; basin area; protected area; Swamp Catchment Management and Conservation Plan, included in the Order as attachment; riparian reserve; soil and water conservation plan; protection, conservation and use of the water resources within the protected area; information regarding the actions required to conserve and protect the water resources of the protected area; offences; prohibited activities in the protected area, including waste disposal, land reclamation, excavation of soil, and planting of exotic species.
