Mwangea Hills Catchment Protection Area (Amendment) Order, Legal Notice no. 45 of 2025.

This Order, made by the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, in compliance with section 23 of the Water Act, amends the Mwangea Hills Catchment Protection Area Order, by replacing measures concerning penalties and fines; by replacing a paragraph concerning the following prohibited activities: clearing of indigenous trees or vegetation, cultivation of vegetation adverse to water resources, building of boreholes and other permanent structures, disposal of any form of waste, excavation of soil and development of quarries, land reclamation and plantation of exotic plant species; by introducing a new paragraph concerning land owners' rights.
