Abstract
These Rules of the Minister of Agriculture concern the importation of plants, plant products and regulated articles, i.e. packaging of plants, soil and other organisms or material capable of harbouring or spreading pests and that require phytosanitary measures.
No person shall import a plant, plant product or regulated article except in the manner provided for in these Rules. Importation requires an import permit to be granted by the National Plant Protection Organization and a phytosanitary certificate issued by the relevant authority of the exporting country.
Other provisions of these Rules concern further import restrictions, inspection, pest analysis, quarantine, consignment for re-exportation, transit, importation of seeds and offences.
