Samburu County Spatial Planning Act, no. 9 of 2020.

This Act concerns the preparation and implementation of County spatial plans and related development plans in compliance with the constitutional provisions, in order to: coordinate spatial planning and development; promote organised planning of physical infrastructure; enhance regulation of physical development and land use; promote effective and transparent physical planning process; promote sustainable social economic development. The Act concerns the following matters: establishment of Directorate of Spatial Planning, co-ordinating committees; contents of spatial plan; control of development process and compliance with the plan; measures concerning subdivision of land; environmental impact assessment; registration of documents.
