Social Protection (General) Regulations, Legal Notice no. 68 of 2026.

These Regulations, implementing section 48 of the Social Protection Act, apply to the administration of social protection. The Regulations specify: eligibility criteria for persons in need; orphans qualified for social protection benefit; criteria for poor older member of society; persons in extreme poverty; persons with disabilities; minimum dietary requirements; habitable and adequate housing; clean and safe drinking water and basic sanitation; and basic education for school-age children; application for social protection benefits; termination of benefits; misuse of social protection benefits; update of the Social Protection Registry; offences and penalties.
