Uasin Gishu Way Leaves Act, no. 8 of 2014.

This Act concerns power of the local government of of Uasin Gishu county to carry sewers, chains, drainage, waterway, pipeline, electric power line and underground cables through land to undertake intended works. The Act concerns: inspection; objection of the owner or occupier of the land; notice to be given to the owner or occupier of the land; compensation; power to enter land at any time for the purposes of the Act; riparian conservation in compliance with the provisions of the Environmental Management and Coordination Act, 1999; fines and penalty of unauthorised building over sewers, drainages or pipelines.
