Abstract
These Rules shall apply to Victoria Nyanza within the Boundaries of Kenya and inland within a distance of five miles from the shore of the lake (rule 1).
The rules make provision for the registration of fishing boats (rule 3), licensing of fishermen (rule 4), use of tilapia nets (rule 5), registration of net dealers (rule 6), special net permits (rule 7), sale of nets (rule 8), protection of immature tilapia (rule 10), marking of gear (rules 13 and 14), orders by the Provincial Commissioner prohibiting the use of tilapia nets (rule 16).
