Abstract
Governmental Decree No. 377 validating Priority veterinary and sanitary requirements for prevention of animal diseases shall be amended to add the following wording: (a) biological waste infected or contaminated with pathogens of anthrax, emphysematous carbuncle, rinderpest, camel plague, rabies, tularemia, tetanus, malignant edema, bluetongue of cattle and sheep, African swine fever, botulism, glanders, epizootic lymphangitis, melioidosis (false glanders), myxomatosis, hemorrhagic disease of rabbits, plague (birds), diseases not previously registered in the national territory, shall be burned on site, as well as in incinerators (in crematoria) or in specially designated areas; (b) the placement of cattle burial grounds (biothermal pits) in water protection, forest park and protected areas is prohibited; (c) on the territory of a cattle burial ground (biothermal pit), it is prohibited to graze livestock, mow grass, or take and carry soil outside its boundaries; (d) responsibility for the arrangement and sanitary condition of a cattle burial ground (biothermal pit) in accordance with these requirements rests with the local state administration, local government bodies, and heads of organizations in charge of these facilities. Local state administrations and local self-government bodies on an ongoing basis shall ensure that work is carried out to maintain anthrax foci in proper sanitary condition on the territory of local municipalities, including concreting, fencing and installation of identification signs, and bring them into compliance with the requirements of current veterinary and sanitary rules.
