Decision No. 544-r validating the Charter of the institution "Secretariat of the Global Program for the Conservation of the Snow Leopard and Its Ecosystems."

The institution "Secretariat of the Global Program for the Conservation of the Snow Leopard and Its Ecosystems" was established to implement the Global Program for the conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems by organizing interaction, coordination and cooperation between the partners of the Global Program, authorized government bodies in the field of environmental protection of the countries where the snow leopard lives, international organizations, donors, interested non-profit organizations, business structures, educational and scientific institutions on the development of the Global Program. The purpose of the Secretariat is the implementation of the Global Program. The tasks of the Secretariat are: (a) interaction with authorized government bodies in the field of environmental protection in the countries where the snow leopard lives; (b) monitoring the implementation of the Global Program in the countries where the snow leopard lives; and (c) implementation of strategic documents on the conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems in the Kyrgyz Republic.
