Decision No. 80 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on the procedure for visiting, organizing and arranging excursion ecological routes, hiking trails and sites in protected areas.

This Regulation determines the general procedure for visiting protected areas. It is allowed to use protected areas for the purpose of developing science, culture, education, tourism and recreational activities within the framework of the favorable sustainable functioning of natural communities, ensured by compliance with the tourist and recreational capacity of the protected areas. A visit to the protected area includes: (a) walking along certain pre-established routes with temporary accommodation and rest in certain places (sites); (b) stay for recreational purposes in certain places; (c) stay for the purpose of environmental education and upbringing, as well as satisfaction of cultural and aesthetic needs; and (d) stay to observe natural objects and complexes, collect samples and other material for scientific research. Visit to protected areas shall require payment of environmental fees. Visitors to protected areas are required to: (a) not cause harm to protected natural objects and complexes; (b) eliminate the factor of disturbance, especially during the mating season of wild animals and their feeding of offspring; (c) observe visiting hours; (d) observe the regime for maintaining and preserving monuments of nature, archaeology, history and culture; (e) strictly adhere to the tourist routes (trails), parking areas, specially designated places for making fires and overnight stays established by the administration of the protected area; (f) comply with the protection regime of protected areas and fire safety rules; and (g) follow the instructions of the guide, instructor-guide when passing the route and being at the resting place (site).
