Decree No. 3027-VI of the Parliament “On measures for ensuring radiation safety of the population.”

The Parliament decrees to oblige the Government: (a) to introduce ban on geological exploration and field development of deposits containing radioactive elements (uranium), except for tailing dumps and the mountain dumps to be reclaimed; and (b) to verify the activities of all licensees for exploration, prospecting and development of deposits containing radioactive elements (uranium) for compliance with legislation on protection against radiation and radiation safety.
