Decree No. 8 of the State Committee on Environmental Protection validating the Regulation on protection and management of fish stocks and aquatic species.

This Decree establishes the modalities of protection and management of fish stocks and aquatic organisms, and regulation of fisheries. All the waterbodies that are used or could be used for commercial fisheries and harvest of aquatic organisms or are important for stock enhancement and reproduction of commercial fish species shall be classified as fishery waterbodies. Aquatic organisms shall be considered aquatic insects, molluscs and aquatic plants. Fisheries and catch (harvest) of aquatic organisms shall be carried out in accordance with special permits for commercial fisheries and catch (harvest) of aquatic organisms. Fishing gear shall be marked with the identification of affiliation with commercial fishing organization. Authorization or permit for commercial fisheries shall be non-transferable.
