Decree on the transfer of land of the National Land Fund to the Agricultural Land Redistribution Fund under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. 240 of 1996).

Land of the National Land Fund is transferred to the Agricultural Land Redistribution Fund under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The Decree lists also a variety of measures to ensure that allocation of land plots from the Agricultural Land Redistribution Fund is carried out: expansion of rural settlements in accordance with the Master Plans for their development; creation and operation of seed-growing, livestock-breeding, testing and selecting, experimental farms and state variety testing entities; establishment of special agricultural entities to grow agricultural crops decided by the Government; sale of rights to use land plots at auctions; leasing out of land to farmers. Citizens, who worked and lived outside the farm and came to the farm for permanent residence before July 1, 1996, are entitled to an average farmland share.
