Governmental Decree No. 264 validating the Regulation on keeping and use of predatory hunting birds in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

This Governmental Decree establishes the rules for keeping and use of predatory hunting birds in the Kyrgyz Republic that are aimed at preserving and maintaining traditional national types of hunting with birds of prey, as well as participating with them in exhibitions, competitions and other events, determine the requirements and regulate the order of catching, keeping and use of predatory birds of prey. The right to capture birds of prey, their maintenance and use as hunting birds in the Kyrgyz Republic in the prescribed manner shall be granted exclusively to those who have the status of a hunter or equivalent thereto, in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. The limit of catching species/subspecies of birds of prey from the natural environment is set annually throughout the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the rules and procedures established by the national legislation. Authorization for capture of birds of prey shall require payment of fees. The holder of birds of prey is obliged to register birds of prey in accordance with the Hunting Rules in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, approved by a decree of the Government. When hunting with birds of prey, it is allowed to use only trained birds of prey, registered in the prescribed manner and having the appropriate identification cards.
